Zoom Phone Integration Documentation
🚀 1. Adding the Application
Step-by-Step Guide
- Log in to Shodan Pro
- Access Shodan Pro (https://app.shodanpro.com)
- Sign in with your email address or Google/Microsoft account
- Navigate to Settings
- Click “Settings” from the account menu in the top right corner
- Select “Integrations” from the left side menu
- Start Zoom Phone Integration
- Click the “Zoom Phone Integration” button
- You will be redirected to the Zoom authentication screen
- Authenticate with Zoom Account
- Enter your Zoom account email address and password
- Click “Sign In”
- Confirm Access Permissions
- Review the permissions requested by Shodan Pro
- Click the “Allow” button
- Integration Complete
- You will be automatically returned to the Shodan Pro settings screen
- Integration is complete when you see “Zoom integration successful” message

Prerequisites
- A valid Shodan Pro account
- A Zoom account with a Zoom Phone license
- A device with the Zoom Phone app installed
Feature Description
1. One-Click Calling
Purpose: Make calls directly from company/person detail screens using Zoom Phone
How to use:
- Open the company or person detail screen
- Click the phone icon next to the phone number
- Select “Call” in the confirmation dialog
- Zoom Phone app will automatically launch and initiate the call
2. Check Integration Status
Purpose: Verify the status of Zoom Phone integration
How to use:
- Open Settings → Integrations
- Verify that the Zoom Phone section shows “Connected”
🗑️ 3. Removing the Application
Removal Steps
- Access Shodan Pro Settings
- Log in to Shodan Pro
- Open Settings → Integrations
- Disconnect Zoom Phone Integration
- Click the “Disconnect” button in the Zoom Phone section
- Select “Disconnect” in the confirmation dialog
- Remove App from Zoom Account (Optional)
- Log in to your Zoom account and navigate to Zoom App Marketplace
- Click “Manage” → “Added Apps”
- Select the “Shodan Pro” app
- Click “Remove”
Potential Impact of Removal
- Feature Disabled: Zoom Phone integration features will no longer be available
- Data Retention: Past call history and notes will not be deleted
- Re-integration: You can re-integrate at any time
How User Data is Handled After Removal
- Access Token: Deleted immediately
- Refresh Token: Deleted immediately
- User Information: Zoom-related personal information (Zoom User ID, etc.) is deleted
- Business Data: Call notes and activity history are retained within Shodan Pro
🔧 4. Troubleshooting
Issues with Adding the App
“Authentication Cancelled” Error
Cause: Cancelled or closed browser on Zoom authentication screen
Solution: Click the “Zoom Phone Integration” button again to complete authentication
“System Error Occurred” Error
Cause: Network connection issue or temporary Zoom API failure
Solution:
- Check internet connection
- Retry after 5 minutes
- Contact support if the problem persists
Issues with Making Calls
Zoom Phone App Does Not Launch
Cause: Zoom Phone app not installed or outdated version
Solution:
- Install the latest version of Zoom Phone app
- Allow custom protocol (zoomphonecall://) in browser settings
- Disable popup blockers
“Zoom Phone App Not Installed” Error
Cause: Zoom Phone app not present on device
Solution: Download and install Zoom Phone app from the official website
Issues with Disconnecting Integration
Failed to Disconnect Integration
Cause: Network error or insufficient permissions
Solution:
- Refresh the page and retry
- Try with a different browser
- Contact support team

Q: What permissions are required for Zoom Phone integration?
A: Only user profile information read permission is required. We do not request access to call history or recordings.
Q: What happens if I change my Zoom password after integration?
A: Since we use OAuth authentication, the integration will be maintained after password changes. However, re-integration is required if the Zoom account itself is deactivated.
Q: Can I integrate multiple Zoom accounts?
A: Currently, only one Zoom account can be integrated per Shodan Pro account.
Q: How is integration information protected?
A: All authentication tokens are encrypted and securely stored on AWS. SSL/TLS communication ensures security during data transfer.
Q: What if I don't have a Zoom Phone license?
A: A Zoom Phone license is required to use the Zoom Phone integration feature. Please contact Zoom sales for licensing information.
